Bears have big appetites, so do cougars, bison, wolves, and many other animals here at the park. That is why they need "parents" to sponsor them. Show your concern for preserving native Illinois wildlife by sponsoring one, two, or more of the animals at Wildlife Prairie State Park. By becoming a Prairie Parent, you help offset the cost of food, shelter, and veterinary care of your sponsored animal.
Operated as a not-for-profit Illinois natural heritage park, we are dedicated to the goals of education, conservation, and recreation. We are supported through admission fees, memberships, donations, and grants. Donations, sponsorships, and memberships are tax deductible.
Prairie Parents can contribute towards the partial care of our animal family or can sponsor the total cost of a specific animal for an entire year.
