 
Prairie Parents
Bears have big appetites, so do cougars, bison, wolves, and many other animals here at the park. That is why they need "parents" to sponsor them. Show your dedication to preserving native Illinois wildlife by sponsoring an animal at Wildlife Prairie State Park. By becoming a Prairie Parent, you help offset the cost of food, shelter, and veterinary care of your sponsored animal.
Prairie Parents can contribute towards the partial or full care of an animal and receive:
- Certificate of Sponsorship
- Name on Prairie Parent kiosk
- Picture of animal
- Fact sheet
Full Sponsorship can be arranged for the following animals:
Bird of Prey, Bison, Black Bear, Bobcat, Cougar, Elk, Fox, Otter, Wolf
Traditional Prairie Parent Sponsorship/$100 can be arranged for the following animals:
Amphibians, Bald Eagle, Bison, Black Bear, Bobcat, Cougar, Coyote, Deer, Elk, Falcon, Goat, Gray Fox, Opossum, Owls, Red Fox, Red-tailed Hawk, Reptiles, River Otter, Sandhill Crane, Squirrel, Skunk, Sheep, Songbirds, Turkey Vulture, Wolves, Woodchuck
